Initial Work Group/Site Selection Meeting
December 9, 2021 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Work Group participants were briefed on project goals and timeline, reviewed the site sensitivity data compiled by Work Group members including the EPA, MassDEP, and Nuka Research, and identified 10 sites for GRS development.
Site Surveys
April 14-15, 2022
Work Group members conducted site surveys at multiple predetermined locations to obtain additional information about each GRS site that will inform the development of tactics, logistics, and other elements.
Tactics Sub-Group Meeting
May 25, 2022 1:00pm - 2:30pm
The Tactics Sub-Group was comprised of select individuals from the project Work Group with direct experience and expertise in inland spill response, GRS development, and/or in-depth knowledge of the Connecticut River. The Sub-Group reviewed the draft GRS maps showing the tactics and strategies recommended by the site survey team. Changes to these initial tactics and strategies were made and the GRS were updated prior to final review by the Work Group.
Final Work Group Meeting
August 10, 2022 11:00am - 12:30pm
This was the final meeting of the Connecticut River GRS Work Group. During this meeting, each draft GRS was presented for review and comment prior to finalization.
