Blackstone River (MA)
This project will be active from September 2019 until September 2020. 10 Geographic Response Plans will be developed for the Blackstone River from it's origin in Worcester, MA to the MA/RI state border.

Initial Work Group/Site Selection Meeting

Work Group participants will be briefed on project goals and timeline, will review the site sensitivity data compiled by Work Group members including the EPA, CT DEEP, and Nuka Research, and will identify 10 GRP development sites.

Work Group members will conduct site surveys to obtain additional information about each GRP site that will inform the development of tactics, logistics, and other issues.
Tactics Sub-Group Meeting
TBD (Summer 2020)
The Tactics Sub-Group will be comprised of select individuals from the project Work Group with direct experience and expertise in inland spill response, GRP development, and/or in-depth knowledge of the Blackstone River. The Sub-Group will review draft GRP maps showing the tactics and strategies recommended by the site survey team. Changes to these initial tactics and strategies will be made based on input from the Tactics Sub-Group, and the GRPs will be updated prior to final review by the Work Group.
Final Work Group Meeting
TBD (Jul/Aug 2020)
This will be the final meeting of the Blackstone River GRP Work Group. During this meeting, each draft GRP will presented for review and comment prior to finalization.
